Now that so-called health care “reform” has been rammed into law, the President must make good on promises to every bought off congressman who voted for this very unpopular bill. In addition he must also start the process of reinventing himself as the “centrist” he pretended to be during the campaign. Healthcare reform is just the tip of the giant side splitting iceberg. The fringe element of the Democrat party is in control and the more moderate, centrist Democrats have neither the backbone nor the integrity to oppose them.

There are an estimated 15 to 20 million illegals in the U.S., millions of whom are young men who have come here and left their families behind. It would be a simple process of extricating them back to Mexico as they have no families or ties here in the U.S. It is obvious to anyone who cares to look how devastating the crushing onslaught has been to the American worker. The trades in particular have been over run with illegals competing against citizens. Millions of construction, painting, roofing, and landscaping jobs being taken at lower wages. Forcing Americans to compete against illegals who have no roots, and no ties to the communities where they live. Government highway jobs, service and agricultural positions stolen for the cheap labor illegals provide. It is bad for America and more importantly it is a nightmare for the American worker.

In 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed an immigration reform bill, legalizing an estimated 1.7 million illegals. The bill sought to guarantee a steady supply of agricultural workers to harvest crops susceptible to freeze, drought or other damaging conditions. But beyond the cheap labor provided to the multi conglomerate, billion dollar agri businesses, businesses subsidized by the federal government and who rake in billions in profits, the bill made guarantees of border enforcement and the curbing of illegals entering the country. But while these parasitic corporate welfare agri businesses continue to pay slave wages to illegals the border is as porous as ever.

In 1986 there were an estimated 5 million illegals in the U.S. Today we know that number has quadrupled and when the second amnesty is enacted that number could go as high as 50 million. We know the newly minted “citizens” will be allowed to bring spouses, children and siblings to the U.S. as a means to “protect the sanctity” of the family. We also know the federal government will yet again promise to secure the border but we have heard that before. The border will remain unchecked, and the process will start again.

Households headed by illegal aliens imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government in 2002 and paid only $16 billion in taxes, creating a net fiscal deficit of almost $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household.

With nearly two-thirds of illegal aliens lacking a high school degree, the primary reason they create a fiscal deficit is their low education levels and resulting low incomes and tax payments, not their legal status or heavy use of most social services.

If illegal aliens were given amnesty and began to pay taxes and use services like households headed by legal immigrants with the same education levels, the estimated annual net fiscal deficit would increase from $2,700 per household to nearly $7,700, for a total net cost of $29 billion.

Although legalization would increase average tax payments by 77 percent, average costs would rise by 118 percent.

The numbers don’t lie. Amnesty will severely burden all of us. Our way of life and standard of living will decline. Jobs will become ever more scarce. The few will continue to be taxed at higher and higher levels to pay for the services given unchecked to the many. America as we know it will ultimately cease to exist….

These are the facts, they can not be denied.

As the the healthcare debate rages it is perfectly clear exactly what the President meant when he claimed to be a different kind of Politician. Remember all of the change and hope? The “we are the ones we have been waiting for”? Well the only thing that has changed is just how far this President will go to appease the moneymen behind his Presidency.

As Nancy Pelosi leapt to her feet in exultation and joy when the words “public option” were uttered all Americans should have immediately run to craft drawer and in frenzied apprehension started construction of “no public option” signs. The fact that the public option means so much to the San Francisco fringe progressive and her ilk should terrify every American of every stripe. Yet here we are with the very real possibility that the “different kind of politician” will jam this public option down our throats whether we want it or not.

President Obama’s demeanor was acrimonious, adversarial, demanding and even bullying in some instances. He was about as partisan as any President I have ever listened to. He was at best misleading with his facts and at worse, to use his own words, “bald faced lying”. Where exactly is the “difference” we were promised?

The President knows illegal aliens will ultimately have healthcare or what exactly is the point? After all, if 10 to 15 million illegals are included in the fairy tale fantasy of 47 million uninsured, they would have to be covered somehow or they would have to be given amnesty. There is no chance they will be given deportation papers…. You do the math.
So when Wilson yelled “you lie” wasn’t that what the President was doing? What is “different” about a President who wags his finger and then lies?

Americans much to their credit seem a little afraid of the “different” politician they elected. In Israel his approval numbers are in the single digits and here in America I can imagine Jews are at least apprehensive about his “different” approach to middle east peace.
The independents are recoiling from the massive government spending, the health care scare, the extreme environmental lobby and every other nuanced agenda item these “different” politicians want to enact. (What they were doing during the election …oh right….. they wanted “hope and change”).
Conservatives are doing basically the same things they always do….duck and cover. The fringe liberals play dirty and guys like McCain want to be “civil.” It would be comical were it not so pathetic.

So as the “different kind of politician” delivers yet another tedious speech with the same old one sided, dishonest views, and the same old tired media covers the “majesty” of it all I am reminded of an old saying I have always found comforting….

“If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck”.

Different?……Uhhhh huh.

As the accolades continue to be piled on Senator Kennedy by those who seek to continue his failed efforts, let us take a moment to examine what his “triumph” has wrought. His lifetime of pampered living, privilege, wealth and power. These men and women, left and right, just love to pat themselves on the back and make wild claims of success and sacrifice for their decades on the government dole. Ted Kennedy and his contemporaries, men and women much like himself, who have known little else beside the exclusivity and comfort of one of the most prestigious jobs in history, have little to brag about.

Kennedy embodied the failure of American liberalism and more importantly , the obvious need strict oversight of so called “pork barrel” expenditures which these “selfless” congressmen surreptitiously use to cement their re-elections. Teddy and his cohorts, without a doubt, own the wretched condition we now find ourselves in.

Who, if not them, do we blame for government excess, for out of control deficits, ten percent unemployment , ridiculous economic conditions, high oil and gas prices, war and poverty, environmental havoc and other failures on a list that is endless.

We must ask….was Kennedy partnered with McCain as weapons and technology sales continue unabated to so-called allies around the globe? Have Kennedy and Hatch played footsie as millions of manufacturing jobs moved overseas? Did the good Senator(s) from Massachusetts consult with the Alaskan “Teddy” as they tax and spend to build billion dollar tunnels or bridges to nowhere? As trillions are wasted on the government largess of pet projects, overreaching weapons development, social engineering, redistribution of wealth, wall street fraud, and a multitude of other government “programs” over the past 40 years….what exactly is there to praise?

Teddy was also given credit for his “shaping” of the Supreme Court. But here again we see the abject failure of the good Senator. For as we look at most of the major social decisions rendered we see the unmistakable influence of ideology. The court is supposed to “interpret” the Constitution and render decisions based on what the founders wrote. But as we see major decision after major decision come down in five to four verdicts we have to understand just how biased the court is. Be it liberal or conservative, the court is anything but “Supreme”.

There can be no doubt that Ted Kennedy did some good as a US Senator. But the truth is Americans rejected his social world view unequivocally. He was not a main stream American. He was not a man who pushed America to greatness but rather his influence brought America to the blandness and mediocrity of its current state.

Let the record stand.

The healthcare industry is just that , an industry. Today in America, healthcare is treated as a simple retail situation whereby companies offer a service and then do everything in their power to increase revenue. At The Home Depot this model works perfectly. If a consumer wants to spend 300 dollars for a new grill, they shop, compare, and if they really want great burgers they make the decision purchase the grill or not. Very simple. Now if Home Depot decides they need to increase revenue they may charge 310 dollars for the grill, and the process repeats. They may bring in a gunslinger to run the company , corners are cut, revenue is raised and the gunslinger gets his big payday eventually moving on to next opportunity. We treat healthcare like we treat retail. This is the fundamental problem that must be addressed and reformed in order to assure reasonable profits for insurers and exceptional healthcare for all who work and desire it.

Unfortunately for all Americans our President, the man who promised “change”, has no interest in providing good affordable healthcare to all. He and the democrats in congress want healthcare control. They are affirmed “progressives” and progressives want to fundamentally change the face of America. They want to dismantle the evil corporations and take “profit” completely out of the equation. Simple reform will not do.

Thankfully there are some Americans who are smart enough to understand that although reform is essential, government control would be a disaster. Profits are why each of us who actually get out of bed and go to work, do just that.

Reforming healthcare is a simple fix.

First we need honest straightforward debate concerning tort reform. If lawyers are shaking down healthcare professionals to the detriment of us all then tort reform is essential to overall healthcare reform. According to some estimates physicians spend upwards of two billion dollars annually for so called “defensive medicine”. You pay for tests you do not necessarily need because your doctor if terrified of being sued. We see it all day long on TV. Lawyers are forever and anon seeking “plaintiffs” to file class action lawsuits against all manor of companies including drug companies and medical professionals. An example would be asbestos exposure. Lawyers want to sue any company who ever had a worker exposed to asbestos whether or not the company did so knowingly or not. If a company is malicious, fine, but many companies had no idea their workers were in danger. Should they be driven to financial ruin? The realities of frivolous lawsuits needs to be exposed and if necessary “reformed”.

Second every major player in the healthcare debate needs to understand that the days of excessive profits are over. The congress has to stop placating these people and put the American people first. If drug companies want to spend billions on “recreational” drugs and advertising than so be it. But they can either be reasonable or they can be taxed into oblivion. The same goes for the insurance companies. No more 15 million dollar salaries and hundred million stock options for men who have allowed Americans to suffer and die simply to protect the bottom line. Enough is enough. Insurance companies and Parma make billions in profits, billions, while allowing the suffering of the American people. Reform starts with them.

The fringe left (progressives) want to remake America. The President and congress seem willing to toss all of us aside to make it a reality. But if they truly want healthcare reform, they should first and foremost have serious legislation to force Healthcare businesses to stop the reckless practices that cause tremendous pain and suffering for so many Americans. It is not only a moral issue, it is a critical one as well.

If after regulatory legislation the healthcare businesses choose to continue down the path of profits over health then so be it. Put them out of business with a public option and let the cards fall as they may.

If the President decides to scrap the “government option” in this healthcare debate all hell is going to break loose. The fringe…see progressives… are going to explode. The thrill will recede from “newsmens” legs. The moneymen at MoveOn will cry fowl and scream impeach. Howard , hide the children, Dean will have another AAAGGGGGHHHH moment and the Kos(sacks) will bawl as they roll on the floor in full tantrum mode….. Why?

Because the public option is the only avenue to a single payer, government controlled healthcare. They know it and they want it….period! More government control means more “fairness”

So what would be the result of single payer government controlled healthcare? Well, besides absolute chaos, the government would soon start to run out of money and the decision would be made, more likely sooner than later, to ration. Where and how money is spent and what is covered and what is not.

Enter the proud mother of Trig, a baby born with Downs Syndrome, Governor Sarah Palin. Her naming of the Death Panels are correct, but more than that, they are chilling. She saw first hand the compassion of the left as they spoke so admiringly of her life and her son. She knows as well as any the dangerous precedent of government control of healthcare decisions. Is it so unlikely that a boy like Trig would be sacrificed for the betterment of society. Maybe not today or next year, but under government control, especially and liberal government, over the next fifteen or twenty years? They will ration care as the money starts to dry up. It will happen and who better to act as “deatheaters”, than fringe liberals? People who have had lots of practice and make these life and death decisions so easily themselves?

Do they not council women to abort for all manor of reason including lack of money? Do they not demand abortionists in every country be funded by America as an easy way to relieve stricken societies with increasing “burdens”? Do they not demand compassionate suicide and euthanasia as a means to an end? Do they not speak incessantly of population control as a way to save mother earth?

I’m sorry but I have no problem seeing these people at work. I can picture their strategies as they ask Grandma to consider the children. “Don’t you see how selfish you are grandma? Do you care only for yourself? Don’t you see what you are doing to your children?” I mean, these remarkable people write their adolescent columns in the morning, have their faces stretched in the afternoon, and finally attend the daily cocktail party where they clink champagne glasses and look down their exceeding long noses at the little people demanding answers at the nearest town hall. They send men and women to war and then at the most politically expedient moment call them “cold blooded killers” and “terrorists”.

Believe it……. these “progressives” will eventually demand forced abortions, euthanasia, and all manner of cost prohibitive treatment. It is inevitable

Now in all fairness we have a similar version of this situation today as insurance companies leave their humanity at the door and line their pockets at the expense of pain, suffering and even death. They allow children to die in horrible pain for an opportunity to add another dollar to the already bulging coffers. They are despicable, diseased old men who will should pay for their grotesque acts of avarice, but, until then, options remain for individuals to air grievances, seek recompense and file lawsuits for illegal or egregious treatment.

Such options do not and will never exist with government control.

Politicians can’t buy a pack of gum without dropping a million dollars. What will happen when they try to oversee the health and welfare of 350,000,000 people? The progressives care little for average Americans, just ask Pelois and Reed. They care less for your happiness and that of your family. What they care about is revenge. From the beginnings of Christendom to today, white people have ravaged the world and the planet, and that revenge is nigh……..

On August 28th 1963 the civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King delivered the famous “I Have A Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. At once uplifting and beautiful, but also fiery and determined. The fundamental idea that men should be judged by what they do. “What is the content of their character?”

In this past election 97% of black Americans voted for President Obama. In 1996 the first black President, Bill Clinton, could only muster got 84%. Never in our history has such a wide margin of either race or gender opted to vote for a single presidential candidate.

Today in America we come to a point where identity politics and in fact discrimination is not only common but protected but remarkably it is encouraged.

There is no question that the policies of the government, both federal and state, played a huge role in creating the mess we now find ourselves in. Slavery and the ensuing treatment of black Americans throughout most of our history has done seeming irreparable damage to relationships between the races. Unfortunately the very people who could begin a serious conversation about race need the continuing strife to continue so as to maintain their political and social standing.

Anyone who pays attention knows how poorly so-called black “leadership” has been since the death of Dr. King. Everyone knows about the shake downs and threats to businesses not toeing the racial line. Without racial tension most of the black “leadership” ceases to be relevant and their wealth disappears. Men scream racism at every opportunity, truth is distorted, lives are ruined and the beat goes on. …..Identity politics is critical.

The Hispanic population is booming. Useful idiots march in the streets demanding amnesty for tens of millions of mainly uneducated illegal aliens. Millions of Americans compete against the onslaught in the job market as wages are repressed. Hospitals and health services are overwrought. Schools are inundated with non English speaking children clogging the already crowded, confused classrooms. Politicians see votes and ignore the people and their demands for actions. ……Identity politics is reprehensible.

Enter the Latina woman Judge, Sonya Sotomeyer. She may have a remarkable background and have all the qualifications necessary to be a supreme court judge. She may police her emotions and temper her obvious disdain for those of us who have had it too good for too long. But then again, as was obvious by her lack of interest in the Ricci discrimination case and her affiliations with various identity driver groups, she may not. ….Identity politics is obvious.

Recent history has been unkind to millions of people of all races. In Africa racism contributes to thousands of deaths every year. In Europe anti-semitism is rampant, fueled by the United Nations and its non stop disdain for Israel and her people. In Australia indigenous peoples are ignored and treated as second class citizens. In many Arab lands minorities are scarce, fear rages and women are brutalized. …..Racial politics kills

It has become commonplace in America to slander anyone with a differing opinion. Look crosseyed at another and racism is to blame. Cops stop speeders and it becomes profiling. Children are made to behave in school and racism is underlying the discipline. Jails are full of thugs and racism is the motivation. A promotion not rewarded and racism is the culprit.

Our elected officials use race to advance their causes whereby Dr. King used race to advance the cause of humanity and freedom. He would be ashamed at what his life was worth and how his legacy is abused. SHAME ON ALL OF US.

It seem the far right label given to the one or the “Messiah” is dead on. I can’t remember a President proclaiming himself the savior at every opportunity, but this one does. Every political manuver is a new beginning, every bill or law a new opportunity. It’s as if the entire history of this country is as his undeniable mentor claimed. We are a racist country, hell bent on greed and profit, ready to destroy the environment all in the name of the dreaded capitalism. He is as he proclaimed….”The ones we have been waiting for”.

If ever there is a moment in history when a Messiah like figure was needed, it is now. We need leadership to move us away from our dependency on middle east oil and the murderous regimes who control it. We need someone to put wall street crooks in jail and put an end to greedy, speculative hedge betters that destroy lives and futures. We need an aggressive campaign to reduce the billions spent on outdated and untenable government “jobs”. We need a strong, capable commander in chief who sees the realities of terrorism and not the simplified anti capitalist rhetoric repeatedly offered as the root cause for the terror. We need true healthcare reform whereby people can afford medical services without having to mortgage their house.

All of these things will require serious people and serious leadership. Something we have not had for as long as I can remember.

Our debt is tremendous. We allow the sale of weapons and technology to virtually anyone. We permit fringe ideology on both sides of the political spectrum to invade and distort policy. We forgive lies and deception that erode our liberty and freedoms. Our educators are led by corrupt policy makers hell bent on keeping political correctness ahead of actual education. Billions is thrown into the grab bag of political favors with no justification or benifits reaped. We have rampant fraud on Wall treet and on welfare.

We have politicians making laws, and breaking laws, all the while blaming others in an effort to protect themselves. Others having abandoned their party, throwing their electors to the curb, and are hailed as “courageous” leaders. Men who have lifetimes in the exclusive political club whos only obligation, seemingly, is to themselves. Others still, denounce the men and women charged with protecting us all, ignore calls for inquiry and hide behind their power.

As a lifelong democrat I have finally decided, perhaps as a consequence of middle age, to abandon the “party” and register as an independent. The democrats do not represent me any more than they represent the people who continue to vote for them. I see these folks all the time. The Obama stickers prominent on their fine vehicles and mini vans. They have families much like my own. They work had and try their best to do what is right by their kids and their communities. They care about others well-being, are typically friendly, don’t abide bigotry and live normal productive lives. So why are they democrats? What draws them to the party of Pelosi and Reid?

I voted for party because I was uninformed, thought I knew it all and was wholly unprepared for conversation or argument about any political topic. Much like the under thirty crowd so enamored with people like Maher, Stewart and Colbert. I also started to see the realities around me. For although I still believe that all men, and women, are not created equal, some are undeniably more equal than others, I have come to see sloth and stupidity as a simple human characteristic that I don’t want to support, whatever the consequenses may be.

I don’t have any problem with gay marriage, so long as it is done according to current law. This seems to be a very simple solution as prescribed by our constitution. States have the right to decide. The Courts should overturn laws they deem unconstitutional. Someone please explain this simple idea to the very vocal conservative, who forever and anon, deems any Justice who interprets the constitution differently than the people, as legislating from the bench. Uh, it’s only their JOB. Eventually Gay marriage will be decided by the Supreme Court. And just as a side note…marriage is an action no matter who says I do. Just as interacial marriage is an action that was rightly protected under equal protection laws, gay marriage is an action that is worthy of those same protections. Anyone who claims homosexuality is a choice is either ignorant or a liar.

I don’t like abortion but think it is a necessary evil, however, I don’t want to pay for others to have one. Just as the righteous pro lifers should shut up until every last American child has been adopted and loved, the indignant pro choice crowd can easily come up with the resourses to help out the latest casuality of our ever popular pregnant MTV generation teen. MTV, my god what kind of people are these?

I think Wall Street, Oil companies, Banks and various other monopolies need serious regulation and less taxtion. Our government needs to work for the people more than it needs to buy off the business which keeps them perpetually in office. Are you listening Murtha? Sorry but I can not find a way to address some of these people with even the slightest bit of respect. Forests, parks and beaches need to be protected. A moth living on some plant in Califorina does not. Polluters need to be jailed and Al Gore needs to go away already. Funny thing about these lifelong politicians. They always seem to complain about issues they ignored for their entire careers…strange way to lead.

Well there it is. A center left American who has found his way out of the party wilderness. You know the lefts claims about mandates and “the people spoke” is about as laughable as the congressional approval ratings. Obama, there I go with the whole respect thing again, is the Youtube, text your vote, American Idol President. Most Americans have no idea what he stands for. And the republican stalwarts cling to far right principals and claim they lost because they strayed from their core principals. Another laughable argument.

Americans who give a hoot, care about the country differently than either right or left. They want what is right. They want to help the poor without helping the shiftless. They want a cleaner planet without the lies and distortion of the alarmists. They want to be able to let their kids watch a bit of TV after supper without worry of overtly sexual and violent messages. They want to pay a fair share to support the government. They want accountability as to where that money goes. They want to know that their investments are real and safe from thieves and swindlers. They want better schools where kids are safe and they can learn, free from unattended violence and PC madness. They want a strong military to protect them from the horrors of 9-11 and they expect those men and women to be supported at all times by both sides, not just when it is politically motivated, as is so often is the case.

Democrats? Republicans? ……. Good riddance!

On february 15 of this year, the people of Venezuela went to the polls, cast their vote and changed the constitution of that country. In doing so they removed the two term limit of the Presidency and allowed for unlimited re-elections to the office. By all accounts the corruption runs deep, opposition is stifled, and Hugo Chavez rules the country much like Saddam did and Putin does. This “change” of the venezuelan constitution ammounts to one thing and one thing only, Chavez is a thug. Power is his drug. It is his liveblood and he would kill to keep it.

Enter Arlen Spector….and for that matter, most of the entrenched lifers in our congress. Here they are, 10years, 20 years, 30 years, lifetimes in the most exclusive power club in the world.
Power after all “tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely” And believe me when I tell you that this is all about power. Arlen Spectors power to be exact.

So what is the difference between the two examples? I mean other than the road they march on what is the difference between Chavez and Spector? Because quite franckly I see very little to seperate these men other than the means by which they attain their goals. Chavez uses intimidation and fear. Spector is using President Obama. The question on everyones mind is what would men and women like Spector do if they could get away with it. Would they use fear and intimidation as well?

Think about it. Would Al Gore claim the Kingship if he could? Or Hillary and McCain? Are these people so admirable for having “served their country” for so long? I understand the military difference but service as a congressman? Give me a break! These people consistantly pat themselves on the back for “service” but is the country better for it? No it isn’t. If anything just the opposite is true. These “political hacks” are just that. Self promoting, self preserving, power hungry selfish hacks.

So what is the difference between Chavez and Spector? Very damn little.

As President Obama declares America “arrogant and dismissive” to our allies and enemies alike it becomes increasing obvious that he was well aware of the sentiments of Jerimiah Wright and the convictions of Bill Ayres. It also shows the character of the man and his willingness to decieve in order to attain the power he feels entitled to. 20 years in the pew and he didn’t know? Righttttt.. The release of some CIA memos and the withholding of others illustrates the Presidents inability to lead and the complete politicization of the WAR ON TERROR. The fringe on the left is pushing hard and the President is caving, ignoring the danger, and ultimately putting us all at greater risk….Why?

For those of you unfamiliar with this acronym, Bush Derangement Syndrome.

The complete and utter contempt for President Bush and everything he stood for is what’s
driving this so-called torture investigation. Does anyone believe for one second that George Soros and the move-on crowd gives a fig about waterboarded terrorists? Or that they care about the “image” of America? Come on! These people are putting our lives at risk to get even…period.

These are the folks who got the President elected. The ones who continue to recruit the
college kids. No to military recruiters but to the sanctimonious wealthy socialist going after the youth, no problem. Go figure. These same kids then started pounding the pavement and making the phone calls. Day after day after day. He owes them. I really don’t think Obama wants this mess. I truly don’t. But what is he going to do? Lead? He needs these people desperately if he is to succeed in 2012. He can’t win without them. He knows it and so do they. The rest, to the detriment of us all, is, as Ms. Pelosi would say, “astroturf”

And as a side note to the pathetic arguments the fringe is throwing around. Don’t give me this garbage that our actions have resulted in more recruitment of terrorists. I seem to remember the left decrying that notion when it was rightly pointed out that their actions and statements were recruitment tools. Does anyone really believe that the distortions from the left have had no impact on young muslims? I would submit that the fringe left and the elected democrats in congress have prolonged this war and cost the lives of thousands because of their refusal to join the fight. Their constant backseat driving and their ever present self preservation. They have fought this war in the media. They have called their soldiers and their leadership traitors, murderors and liars. They are the ones killing more innocents with their high handed rhetoric.
