Right wingers ruined my tea party……

Is it too much to ask? Just once can we have an event that is by the people and for the people? I went to the Atlanta tea party with high hopes. I went to be a part of something important, something I believe in. Unfortunately the very people who keep us in this rut put this “party” together and to put it bluntly….I got screwed! You know these people, these starry eyed, unwavering kool-aid (tea?) drinkers. People who hear an Obama Speech and feel a thrill run up their leg. Or who look upon newly minted Sarah Palin and swoon with glee. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? I booed as they cheered for Republican state Senators and House members. I cringed as they whooped and hollered for would be govenors and brainwashed little kids. (aren’t these the same people who decry the left’s use of children at political protests)? Are there any independent minded people left in America? People who understand that power corrupts regardless of political ideology? Did they forget the huge sums spent by Bush? Do they not understand how much pork their party stuffs into their pockets, …oops…sorry, districts?

What the hell was Sean Hannity doing at MY TEA PARTY? Why is he and the other Fox News “independents” attending tea parties across the country? Where is the tea party of Americans fed up with both sides? Are there no democrats who are dissatisfied? Are they all in lock step with the new President and this wild spending spree? How about independents, where in the hell are they? Am I going crazy here? Are the people in this country so incapable of free thought that they cheer when people that do the very thing they protest are on stage condeming what they themselves do? Are you freakin kidding me?

And don’t get me started on all of these fringe progressives and their adolescent “teabaggin” garbage. Jesus I can’t believe these people have the ability to procreate much less have a job whereby they give opinion and commentary. Are these not the very same people who scream about fairness, understanding and tolerance? It would be comical were it not so sad. The notion that Anderson Cooper and Rachael Maddow are paid to speak really boggles the mind. My 11 year old son has more respect for others and their opinions than either of these people. But I guess when no one listens you have to become a little more crass and a lot more vulgar.

Perhaps a day will come when Americans will throw both of these power hungry, entrenched political parties into the drink like so much tea..but after last nights debacle I won’t be holding my breath.
